Surface Analysis with Mass Spec

We have developed ion transmission optics from remote reagent sources (RIGG) to surface samples for surface derived reactions; and collection and focusing optics for resulting product ions to be transmitted away from the surface region to the mass spectrometer. The delivery optics can be operated in pulsed or continuous modes of operation. The relative positional independence of our transmission and collection optics allows precise spatial and temporal resolution of sample product ions.
